It’s called a toad-strangler in the Louisiana, a turd-floater in Texas and a fence-lifter in the Ozarks. Before you shirk away in anticipatory disgust, let me tell you that all three describe a heavy rain. Those are just three example from the Dictionary of American Regional English, which will print its last edition ever later this year says USA Today.
