Wal-Mart is determined not to be beaten by Target in the Christmas toy-selling blitz. The Wall Street Journal says the annual battle has gotten off to a “particularly fierce start.”
Toys R Us and Amazon.com kicked off the holiday shopping season with signals they were going to be aggressive with low prices this year. And Wal-Mart quickly realized that it would have to cut prices to match its rival Target.
