Tony Curtis Dead at 85

Written by Pat's Papers | Thursday, 30 September 2010 8:56 AM

He may have dressed up in drag for one of his most famous roles, but Tony Curtis will always be remembered as a “dashingly handsome film star of the 1950s and `60s” says the LA Times. The actor died at his home in Las Vegas last night. He was 85. “Some Like it Hot” was his most memorable film but Curtis had more than 100 movies and an Oscar nomination on his resume.

He was also one half of the “it” Hollywood couples in the 1950s, marrying Janet Leigh in 1951. They had daughter Jamie Lee Curtis in 1958.
