“The Sweet DVR Bonus”

“Modern Family” has about 10 million live viewers each Wednesday. But by the end of the week, the show’s numbers soar to 18 million when DVR playback is added in to the total. Bill Carter of the New York Times calls the DVR bonus a “sweet deal” for advertisers who are only charged by how many commercials viewers watch within a three day period.
