The “Birth Control Riddle”


Birth control pills have been around for 50 years, yet almost half of the pregnancies in this country are still unplanned. The Wall Street Journal says the numbers are so high because many young people are in “the fog zone.” That means their beliefs - (I don’t want to get pregnant now) - don’t match their behaviors - (But I’m not going to use contraception.) Experts say this could be avoided if more young women used IUDs. The Journal has a useful rundown of what is on the market, in terms of birth control, and what works the best.
