Super Bowl a “Touchdown” for Vegas


The Super Bowl is a “touchdown” for Las Vegas, regardless of which team wins, says the Review-Journal. Tourism officials estimate the city will make about $86 million over Super Bowl weekend in “non-gaming” revenue; bookies say their “handle” is between $88 million to $90 million. And it’s not just the big game drawing people to Sin City this year: “What makes this (weekend) so successful is that we have the Super Bowl and Chinese New Year at the same time, we are celebrating both, plus the final two Cher shows.”
