Reinventing the Burger


Two and a half years and a pickle chemist later, Wendy’s has finally rolled out its new burger, Dave’s Hot ’N Juicy. Called Project Gold Hamburger, executives vacillated over the smallest of burger minutiae, says the Columbus Dispatch, from the company’s Ohio headquarters: red vs white onions, crinkled vs straight pickle chips, mustard or no mustard. Turns out, there was a lot on the line—the last Wendy’s had tinkered with its hamburger recipe was 1969.
