It’s easy to be distracted by the patriotic lure of the Bloomingdale’s 4th of July sale. (Until recently, I’m pretty sure the 4th of July was one of the holidays retailers still respected.) But if there’s a moment today when you want to reflect on the significance of Independence Day, the Star-Tribune assembled a list of nine classic Independence Day speeches.
