Baseball superstitions are legend: socks that don’t see a washing machine all season, armpits that don’t see the shower—but sacrificing a live chicken to end a hitting slump? Taking a cue from “Major League,” the Fort Worth Star Telegram says two high school baseball players are accused of killing several chickens to end a losing streak. It is unclear how many chickens were involved but the paper says it’s the “second reported incident involving Fort Worth high schoolers and animals this year.”
