Glenn Beck a Polarizing Figure at Fox

Howard Kurtz writes about the uneasy relationship Glenn Beck has with the rest of Fox News in today’s Washington Post. He says many of his Fox colleagues think Beck’s “lightning-rod status” underlines the Obama administration’s contention that the network is not a legitimate news organization. Beck’s high ratings and popularity among viewers have created two dueling images of the conservative host, one, as a “self-promoting independent operator,” and the other as “a team player who regularly talks up his new colleagues.”
