Glenn Beck a Polarizing Figure at Fox
Written by Pat's Papers | Monday, 15 March 2010 8:34 AM
Howard Kurtz writes about the uneasy relationship Glenn Beck has with the rest of Fox News in today’s Washington Post. He says many of his Fox colleagues think Beck’s “lightning-rod status” underlines the Obama administration’s contention that the network is not a legitimate news organization. Beck’s high ratings and popularity among viewers have created two dueling images of the conservative host, one, as a “self-promoting independent operator,” and the other as “a team player who regularly talks up his new colleagues.”
