Designer of Aretha Franklin’s Inauguration Hat Wants Some Respect

He’s one mad hatter. Remember that crazy hat Aretha Franklin wore to President Obama’s inauguration? Well, the Detroit Free Press reports that its designer wants a little R-E-S-P-E-C-T for his signature hat. The Detroit-based designer is suing several companies for producing knockoffs. The original is now housed at the Smithsonian.
