“Core-a-te” Teaches Balance and Butt Kicking


No, it’s not just a phonetic misspelling of karate. Core-a-te is the latest in full-body conditioning says the San Francisco Chronicle. Combining martial arts, self-defense and core workouts, the program is designed to help students achieve “physical and spiritual balance” all while aiming “kicks to an imaginary attacker’s groin.”

The black-belted woman who conceived of Core-a-te says if the poses are practiced with enough regularity, the body will remember them automatically if you are ever attacked.
