Law and Order and Pat

This guy is my double. He was “standing in” for me yesterday as I practiced my lines for a quick appearance on “Law and Order: Criminal Intent.” I was quite amused that even I needed a double so I had to get a picture.

The “Law and Order” franchise, in addition to being great TV, is a huge boost to the New York economy. Nowhere is that clearer than when you read “Playbill” at a Broadway show and realize the TV series has been paying the bills for many New York actors as they advance in their careers. And now I’ve added a “Law and Order” credit to my resume.

Thanks for the great crew for taking good care of me at the Chelsea Piers studio last night. I had a chance to wander around the set before my moment in front of the cameras. The reproduction of a grim, utilitarian interior of a New York City police precinct is quite remarkable.

As for my appearance, I can’t reveal details about the plot, but it’s not a stretch to figure out what type of character I play. The show is scheduled for the spring run of Criminal Intent on USA Network.
