It’s Official: Pat’s a Brooklynite (VIDEO)

It’s official, folks. Last night borough president Marty Markowitz stopped by our trivia event at the Bell House to declare Tuesday, August 21 “Pat Kiernan Welcome to Brooklyn Celebration Day.” (See VIDEO below) He handed over an official proclamation as well as some cool Brooklyn gear but not before I underwent a rigorous immigration test, in which my Brooklyn pronunciation was tested (Marty, youse and I should get a slice of pizzer and a glass of watuh sometime.) and I had to demonstrate by Brooklyn trivia knowledge (I’m studying.)
The Official Proclamation.
The whole night was a blast. We had a full house, a lively crowd and my NY1 colleague Jamie Shupak even stopped by to play. Thanks to Bell House for having us, Daly Pie for feeding us and David and the whole TrivWorks team making the night a great success!
Tickets are on sale now for my final trivia event of the year at Bell House.
My thanks to the Village Voice for honoring me as New York’s “Best TV News Anchor”
