Finally, Someone Fried Beer

Written by Pat's Papers | Wednesday, 1 September 2010 9:39 AM

It’s nice to know American inventors are conserving their energy to solve life’s truly important quandaries, like, for example, how to deep-fry beer. Apparently, a Texas man has become the first to successfully fry a liquid. He’s not telling anyone how he managed the feat because he’s applied for a Fried Beer patent and trademark. But a description in last week’s Dallas Morning News says the resulting snack is like a beer-filled ravioli—take a bite into the pretzel-esque dough and a sip of beer pours out. No word on whether it’s ice cold or not.

The curious will get to try the beverage when the Texas State Fair opens later this month.
