A Night of Trivia with Pat

Last week, I hosted a night of trivia to benefit VH1’s Save the Music Foundation at the Bell House in Brooklyn.  In addition to a great crowd, great volunteers and some great music from a group of accomplished musicians representing Brooklyn’s PS 58, we managed to raise over $5000. A special thanks to David Jacobson of TrivWorks for pulling off a spectacular event. I partnered with David’s company earlier this year as a “special host” and last week’s benefit was the first time we took our collaboration to the stage. We managed to pack the Bell House with 250 eager trivia-philes, making it a sold-out event.  Don’t worry if you missed it, we got some great photos, courtesy of Patrick at Superduperphoto.com for you to check out.

One the evening’s many highlights was musical stylings of the PS 58 orchestra, which was the first school to receive a VH1 Save The Music grant:

After enjoying some great music it was time to get down to business. I didn’t have a hard time amping up the crowd, however—they were ready to go:

Between the three rounds of questions, we invited two members of the audience on stage to square off for a slew of prizes, which was selected by spinning a giant wheel. Thanks to “Avenue Q,” “The Awesome 80s Prom,” “The Sphinx Winx,” NYC Harbor Cruise and Bananagrams for supplying the awesome prizes:

Between rounds I also managed to squeeze in some photos with my loyal NY1 fans, who showed up en masse for the event:

The night wouldn’t have been possible without our army of Pat’s Pages, a group of volunteers who helped David and me make sure everything was running smoothly. Thanks for all your help!
