Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs Say No To Smartphones at Concerts

The Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs have said no to smartphones at their concerts. The group posted a sign at their last gig that read: “Please do not watch the show through a screen on your smart device/camera. Put that sh** away as a courtesy to the person behind you and to [band members] Nick, Karen and Brian.” This morning in the Guardian, Michael Hann applauds the band, writing “cameraphone footage ruins not just the moment, but the memory of the moment – for you have no memory of it, only that rubbish footage.”
