Wyclef Jean’s Charity Out of Business
Written by Pat's Papers | Friday, 12 October 2012 7:39 AM

What ever happened to Wyclef Jean’s Yele? The New York Times says the charity, created to rebuild Haiti after the devastating 2010 earthquake, “effectively went out of business last month,” a fact that Jean neglects to mention in his new memoir. He also doesn’t mention an ongoing investigation by New York’s attorney general into Yele’s finances, which has found “improprieties.” Instead, Jean portrays “himself as persecuted like Jesus and Martin Luther King Jr.”
