Woody Allen: “I’m Not as Crazy as They Think I Am”

“I’m not as crazy as they think I am,” says Woody Allen in a great Washington Post profile this morning.  The “they” he’s talking about are his fans, many of who are excited to see the 76-year-old director put himself back on screen in his latest movie, “To Rome with Love.” Allen insists he didn’t write the part with himself in mind: “There’s a few different kinds of things I can act credibly, I can play an intellectual or a lowlife.”
