When is it Quitting Time?

How do you know when it’s time to quit your job? The New York Post says while it can be difficult to decipher a “case of the Mondays” from a reliable sign that it’s time to move on, there are some clues. Realizing you don’t want your boss’s job is one of them: “Look at the people above you and [if you] realize you don’t enjoy the functions they have, it could be a signal that you’re spinning your wheels.” Realizing you’ve already checked out is another: “Building resentment toward your boss, isolating yourself from colleagues or otherwise mentally ‘quitting’...can hurt [your] performance to the point where you find yourself being asked to leave before you’ve had the chance to decide on your own.”
