What Pushes a Cashiers’ Buttons

Nothing makes you hate your job like having to accept “dirty, sweaty money from ladies who keep it in their undergarments.” The Buffalo News prints a list of cashiers’ biggest pet peeves in today’s paper. The article was inspired by a similar one that asked readers to vent about their pet peeves, which turned up lots of customer service-related gripes. Well, turns out, it’s a two way street. What drives me crazy is the people who expect cashiers to wait while they finish their phone conversation. Apparently, I’m not alone. Those in the field advise stepping out of line if you must answer your phone.
