What A Short Index Finger You Have
Written by Pat's Papers | Tuesday, 5 July 2011 6:41 AM

Ladies, stop looking at our feet. According to the LA Times, a new study has posited a better way to estimate the size of a man’s penis: look at his index finger. Usually, I’m skeptical of these studies but maybe there’s something to this one.
Specifically, the study looked at the right index finger. Men with index fingers shorter than their ring fingers on the right hand tend to be better endowed than those with longer index fingers. Researchers studied 144 men who were undergoing routine urological surgery, measuring their fingers as well as their penises immediately after they were anesthetized, in the flaccid and “stretched” position. They found that men with a smaller ratio between the lengths of their two fingers had, in general, a bigger stretched penis.
Quite a few studies have focused on finger length as an indicator of a range of things. Researchers believe the length of the fingers is determined by prenatal exposure to testosterone and estrogen, which could explain the correlation. Some researchers have found that men with a smaller ratio tend to possess a more symmetrical face and thus be more attractive to women, leading to its nickname, the “sexy ratio.”
The study was published in the Asian Journal of Andrology
