Awkward! Kathie Lee Gifford put her foot in her mouth on the Today show yesterday, says the New York Daily News. Martin Short was on the show to promote his new movie, “Madagascar 3, and Gifford asked after his wife. Unfortunately, Short’s wife Nancy died two years ago after losing a battle with ovarian cancer. But the actor took the flub in stride, and answered Gifford’s questions, which kept coming. She later apologized via Twitter.
