VIDEO: 3-D Printing Provides Economic Boost

There’s a cool New York Daily News story this morning about 3-D printing and how it could be a big economic boost. New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg used a pair of scissors printed from a 3-D printer to cut the ribbon at a new factory in Long Island city. (To make the scissors, a design is created, then the image and its specs are sent to the printer, which fabricates the design using nylon.) The mayor is challenging inventors to use the technology to create new and innovative products. SEE VIDEO DEMONSTRATION BELOW
