US Government May Make “Serving Size” More Realistic

As the headline “One Bowl = 2 Servings” in the New York Times points out, sometimes when you consult the nutrition facts on packaged foods you learn that the “serving size” is absurdly small. The Times says the Food and Drug Administration wants to make those sizes more consistent with what Americans typically consume as a single serving.
