UK Tries to Reform ‘Binge Flyers’ for Sake of the Climate

Britain is taking some bold steps in regard to climate change says the New York Times. New Prime Minister David Cameron has canceled expansion projects at Heathrow. Basically, Cameron says when flying is easy and cheap, people will do more of it, which directly affects greenhouse gas levels. He says Brits have become accustomed to “binge flying,” the practice of “jetting off to weekend homes in Spain and bachelor parties in Prague.” I imagine being forced to sit on a crowded tarmac for hours is a good way to break a bad habit.
