Turbo Tax “Clearest” Computer Tax Progam

I hate to say it, but we are getting into tax season. In preparation, USA Today does its annual review of the computer programs out there that will essentially do your taxes for you. For the second year, Turbo Tax wins the match-up because it has the clearest instructions. Unfortunately, it is also the most expensive.

A word of warning: the paper says that while any of the computer programs are a good choice for someone with a relatively easy return, “taxes have grown so complex that even those of us who don’t invest in individual stocks, own rental property or run a small business could find ourselves in need of advice from a flesh-and-blood tax preparer.”
