Teething Cleaning and Face Lift? Dentists Take on Botox


“No cavities this time, but you do have some crow’s feet.” That could be the next conversation you have with your dentist. The Minneapolis Star Tribune says more and more dentists are offering botox to their patients as a way to boost revenue. They say they are uniquely qualified to offer the facial injections because of their extensive training in the “musculature and anatomy of the face.” Apparently the trend started when the dental profession started experimenting with botox to fix dental problems. But once they got the hang of it, using the treatment for aesthetic purposes was an inevitable step.
