Teacher Bullies 7 Year Old Over “Jolly Rancher Hairdo”

Bullying has become a big topic in the news. But what happens when a teacher is doing the taunting? The Chicago Tribune says an elementary school teacher is in hot water for posting photos of a 7-year-old girl’s picture day hairdo on her Facebook page—and then making fun of it. The hairdo in question was a special request from the grade-schooler: she asked her mother “to tie colorful Jolly Rancher candies to the ends of her braids, copying a hairstyle she had admired in a magazine.” The teacher allegedly told the girl “her husband’s not going to believe this,” before asking if she could snap a photo. She posted it along with the message, “And y’all thought I was joking!”
