“Taking Ms. Tilly”

A bitter custody battle will be decided in California court today says the Sacramento Bee. Ms.Tilly, an 11-year-old Pomeranian, has been the subject of an ongoing legal battle between two people who claim to be her rightful owner. Ms.Tilly, who has retired from her career as a model, has been subpoenaed to appear in court. The problem started five years ago when Ms. Tilly went missing from the home she shared with Donna Schwontkowski for three years. Nedra Langin claims a friend gave her Ms. Tilly back in 2005 and that the dog has lived, happily, with her ever since. The case is resting on a microchip implanted in the dog’s ear. According to the Bee, “a technician will swipe Tilly in court, revealing information that should prove who is the pup’s legal owner.”
