Study: YouTube a Major News Outlet

Though they employ no news anchors, a report by the Pew Research Center says YouTube has become a major channel for people seeking news. In fact, its audience rivals that of TV news. Part of the appeal, says the Washington Post, is that YouTube offers “on-demand viewing,” which allows viewers to pick and choose the stories that interest them from hundreds of sources.
