Study: Online Better Than Bars for Singles

Researchers reviewed about 7000 marriages and found far more people met their match through online dating than at a bar. The Washington Post talked to one expert who says online dating “has become hyper-mainstream.”

One caution: the research was commissioned by Match.com—hardly a neutral party. But the work was actually done by an independent survey firm.  Details on the study here.
