Study: 52% Grocery Store Meat Has Staph Bacteria

Carnivores, this might slow your meat consumption. After analyzing meat and poultry bought at grocery stores in five major US cities, scientists say they found drug-resistant staph bacteria in 52 percent of the samples they studied. The Arizona Republic says the bacteria, which can cause skin infections, is rendered harmless when cooked. But experts warn that staph bacteria could be spread around the kitchen while meat is being prepared.
