Soft-Core Porn “Most Stable Business in Hollywood”

In a surprise to virtually no one, the LA Times reports that soft-core porn is still popular. In fact, the bread and butter of channels like Cinemax and Showtime is “Hollywood’s most stable business,” one unshaken by the rise of the Internet. The paper says the “proliferation of hard-core porn in recent years seems to have made the softer stuff more appealing — or at least more palatable — to a wider audience, particularly among women.” Says a producer of the genre: “Soft-core porn just keeps going, like a cockroach — you can’t kill it.”
