Simplified CPR Drops Mouth to Mouth

There’s a better way to perform CPR say two recent studies. Instead of using mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, experts urge people to focus on performing chest compressions. The perceived complexity of traditional CPR makes bystanders shy about jumping in and helping out, data has shown.  The Wall Street Journal says the simplified technique is meant to encourage more people to step up in an emergency. When the heart stops, doctors say the most critical thing to do is distribute oxygenated blood to the organs, which is done with chest compressions.
