Should You Remove Your Window AC for the Winter?

Central air conditioning is the norm in much of the country. But for apartment dwellers the window air conditioner is king. And the Wall Street Journal looks at your off-season air conditioner options. You can leave it there and risk winter drafts or you can remove it. There’s one company that offers a removal, storage and reinstallation service in New York. But it costs $269 for the service—which is about double the price of the typical AC unit.
