Scientists Find Root of Gray Hair, Solution on Horizon

A scientific breakthrough could mean a solution for one of the most vexing parts of growing old: gray hair. According to the Daily Mail, scientists have discovered a protein—something called ‘wnt’—that they say is responsible for the production of hair color. The protein is also responsible for keeping hair thick, meaning a practical solution for baldness could be on the horizon as well. Experts say the discovery could lead to medicine, lotions and other products designed to keep gray hair at bay for good. They also say the discovery could lead to treatments that would reverse the aging process and restore color to locks that have already lost their luster.
