Say No to “Anti-AC Fanatics”

A couple of weeks ago, we put up a link to a story that said your air conditioner is making you fat. In a Star-Tribune guest column air conditioning industry spokesman Stephen Yurek follows up by addressing the suggestion of “fanatics” that we give up on air conditioning and return to a simpler, sweatier time. Yurek says this is “misplaced nostalgia” that ignores economic and health benefits.

While we’re on the topic of AC, Orange County Register columnist David Whiting’s topic today is the perpetual debate between men and women about how hot a room should be.
