Roger Ebert Moves From Movies to Food

Just because he can’t eat doesn’t mean he can’t cook. There’s a fascinating profile about Roger Ebert in the food section of the New York Times this morning. After undergoing several surgeries to rebuild a face ravaged by cancer, the movie critic now eats from a tube fed directly into his stomach. But that hasn’t stopped Ebert from using what he calls his “voluptuous food memory” to begin a new career as a food writer.  He’s publishing a book later this month based entirely on recipes that can be made in a rice cooker.
