Review: Walkie-Talkie Apps Hit the Smartphone Market

Old technology meet new technology. David Pogue reviews a new crop of walkie-talkie apps for smartphones in the New York Times this morning.  He says before you dismiss the walkie-talkie apps as gimmicks, consider when they could be helpful: If you’re driving, they’re way more safe than texting and in general talking is more accurate and expressive than typing.
