With less than a week to go before the opening ceremonies, the New York Times puts together an awesome photo spread featuring athletes who competed in the 1948 Games, the last time the Olympics was held in London. Pictured above is diver Sammy Lee, 91. In 1948, Lee was the first Asian-American to win an Olympic medal.
