Refrigerator Full of Cats Found

Written by Pat's Papers | Friday, 24 September 2010 12:20 PM

This definitely puts the crazy in cat lady. The Austin American-Statesman says 23 dead cats were found in an unplugged refrigerator in a 32-year-old woman’s apartment. An officer described the situation this way: “When the refrigerator opened, a mass of bodies fell out. Some were in plastic bags and some just fell out.” 52 other cats were removed from the home. Two dead cats were also found in her car. My first question: how big was this “apartment?”

The paper says the workers at a local shelter recently became suspicious after the woman started adopting multiple cats each visit. My second question: this woman has adopted close to 80 cats and the people at the shelter just became suspicious? Really?

We haven’t had a good Starbucks Alter Ego for awhile, but then a woman named (not-my-wife) Dawn dropped us a line.
