Record Price Expected for 1936 Mercedes
Written by Pat's Papers | Thursday, 16 August 2012 8:01 AM

Have an extra $16.4 million? That’s the expected price of a super rare 1936 Mercedes-Benz 540K Special Roadster going up for sale this weekend. The LA Times says there are only about a dozen of this model left in the world. This one was hidden in a Connecticut barn for decades and looked like a time capsule when found, with pink lipstick-stained cigarettes in the ashtray and old maps of New York and Connecticut in the glove box.
