Rahm Emanuel’s Tenant Won’t Give Up Lease

Rahm Emanuel may be contemplating a move back to Chicago but not everyone is ready to welcome him home. The Chicago Sun-Times says the man who leased Emanuel’s house is refusing to move out. Apparently, the man won’t even consider letting Obama’s chief of staff move into the basement. And listen to the kicker: The Sun-Times says the lease was renewed six days before Chicago’s Mayor Daley decided not to run for reelection.

Some wondered whether Emanuel’s Washington address would keep him from running for the governorship (local law says candidates must be residents of Chicago for one year before running) but say since his name is on the deed he should be okay.
