The Columbus Dispatch says that for all the talk from Republicans of President Obama using too much executive power, there is actually plenty of precedent for his actions. From Harry Truman desegregating the military to Abraham Lincoln signing the Emancipation Proclamation, there have been many examples of U.S. Presidents making major changes through executive order.
