Porn Industry Takes Bite of Apple Using Facetime App

For all of Apple’s efforts to keep x-rated content off the iPhone, it’s one of the company’s own innovations that has opened the floodgates, reports the New York Daily News. Apparently, the adult entertainment industry is lining up “nude models for steamy sex talk” via the much lauded iPhone application, Facetime. But the process is far from seamless. There are questions of how payment would be transferred and how to block the number of those “nude models.” And then there’s the biggest conundrum of all—how to get more than just face time. As a veteran performer puts it, “You can have the phone on your face, or other body parts, but not both at the same time. Most customers want the full package, and it’s going to be difficult holding a phone.”
