Facial fillers, it turns out, aren’t just for the face. The San Francisco Chronicle says more and more podiatrists are offering a new treatment called Pillows for the Feet. Using the same injections commonly employed to banish wrinkles, the procedure creates a cushion on the ball of the foot for high heel lovers. Experts say the depletion of the foot’s fat pads is almost exclusively a female problem, one that is exacerbated as estrogen production slows down. Though it’s touted as lasting up to a year, some skeptics say the $1000 foot lift doesn’t last nearly as long.
