Parents Seek Foreign-Speaking Nannies

The New York Times says foreign language-speaking nannies are being coveted by parents who want to introduce their children to another language—sometimes one that they don’t even speak themselves. Parents say understanding two languages makes a child smarter and opens more doors later in life. They also point out that it’s easiest to absorb language when you’re little. And experts say one you’ve mastered two languages, any additional ones come much easier.
