Mittengate: Wisconsin, Michigan Do Battle Over Mittens

Wisconsin and Michigan are locked in an odd battle. The question at hand? Which state is shaped more like a mitten. It all started after the Wisconsin tourism board “stole” Michigan’s designation as the Mitten State. After the new campaign was discovered, a flurry of backlash erupted from Michiganders, who feel very strongly about their moniker. As one resident puts it: “Bull(crap), Wisconsin. You get cheese. That’s it.”
