“Meatless Mondays” Movement Gains Teeth

When Mario Batali starts telling people to eat their vegetables, you know something’s up says the Washington Post. The chef, famous for his pork-loving ways, is one of many food personalities to embrace the growing “Meatless Mondays” movement, which is aimed at getting Americans to go vegetarian for one day each week. Enough schools, hospitals, even restaurants, around the country have joined in the public health campaign that the meat industry is getting nervous.
